Tour The West of Scotland
The
right bank of the Firth of Clyde takes you to Helensburgh, with
the magnificent Hill House designed by Mackintosh, and on to Argyll,
the mountainous and extremely rugged 'coast of the Gaels' that
forms the southwest Highlands. As you pass from one peninsula
to another, visit the archeological sites around Kilmartin and
the distilleries of Campbeltown and Oban, or follow quiet minor
roads leading to grandiose lochs guarded by ancient castles. Make
a detour to the 'white town' of Inveraray on the way to the legendary
valley of Glen Coe. Take a boat to the islands of the Firth of
Clyde and the Inner Hebrides.
