A small group tour which commenced on Tuesday, June 17th, 2004. This wee Tour of Scotland was based out of the Highland Perthshire town of Dunkeld and the old coaching Inn, The Royal Dunkeld Hotel.

Day 1:
After arriving at Edinburgh Airport, the group visited the quaint village of South Queensferry on the South bank of the River Forth. The Cruise Ship the QE2 happened to be visiting at the time, and local children were also giving talks around town about their local history. After South Queensferry we drove across the Forth Road Bridge to North Queensferry and then North to Perth and a quick visit to Caithness Glass Paperweights, before completing our first days drive to Dunkeld where we settled into our base location at The Royal Dunkeld Hotel.

Day 2:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we took advantage of wonderful weather to drive to Kenmore through beautiful Glen Quaich. After lunch in Kenmore at the Taymouth Crafts Shop we viewed Taymouth Castle before driving along the banks of Loch Tay on our way to Keltneyburn and the Iron Fairy sculptures of Heather M. Cumming. From Keltneyburn we visited the Highland Perthshire town of Aberfeldy where we spent an hour in the town centre before returning to Dunkeld.

Day 3:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we drove South through Perthshire to Balvaird Castle. Photo Album. From Balvaird Castle we visited the Lomonds Gallery and Valentine Moon Antique Store at Gateside Mills. After lunch in the Perthshire village of Abernethy we visited Newburgh and Newburgh Highland Games. Unfortunately the weather worsened and we left before the end of the Games, returning for dinner to The Royal Dunkeld Hotel.

Day 4:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we drove South to The Kingdom of Fife and St Andrews. From St Andrews we drove 9 miles South to my hometown of Cellardyke where we had lunch at the Craws Nest Hotel. After a fine lunch of newly-caught Pittenweem Haddock we visited the harbour at Pittenweem, then the church at St Monans. From St Monans we visited the harbour and bonny fishing village of Crail before returning for dinner to The Royal Dunkeld Hotel.

Day 5:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we drove North East through Blairgowrie to the Village of Kirkmichael. We then drove to the River Tummel and Loch Tummel before visiting Edradour Distillery and Port-Na-Craig by the Highland town of Pitlochry. We then returned South to visit The Hermitage just outside Dunkeld before returning for dinner to The Royal Dunkeld Hotel.

Day 6:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we drove South West to Dunblane and visited Dunblane Cathedral. We then visited Stirling and Stirling Castle before having lunch in Dollar. After lunch we viewed Castle Campbell before driving East to the village of Dunning where we viewed the famed Dupplin Cross.

Day 7:
After a full Scottish Breakfast we drove South again through Perthshire and Fife, to Edinburgh Airport where my guests flew off to Dublin.
