The
Aberdeen
& North-East Scotland Family History Society exists to
assist and promote the study of genealogy and family history based
on the North East corner of Scotland. This area covers the old
counties of Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire and Morayshire.

& Southern Ayrshire Family History Society.
The
Anglo-Scottish
Family History Society was formed in 1982 by members of the
M&L FHS to assist in tracing their links back to Scottish
origins. We have members in the USA, Canada, Australia and New
Zealand. We are full members of the Scottish Association of Family
History Societies.
The
Isle
of Arran Museum. Within the new extension there will be computer
access and microfiche readers to assist our visitors in tracing
family history.
The
East
Ayrshire Family History Society was formed in 1997 and is
named after the area in Ayrshire which was formed after the amalgamation
of Kilmarnock & Loudoun District and Cumnock & Doon Valley
District into one district in 1996.
The
Borders
Family History Society. This society covers family history
in the Scottish Border counties of Roxburghshire, Berwickshire,
Selkirkshire and Peeblesshire.

Caithness
Family History Society.
The
Central
Scotland Family History Society serves the needs of those
interested in family history who lived in what was then Central
Region. This means that as well as the old counties of Clackmannanshire,
Stirlingshire and West Perthshire, the Society covers the parishes
of Bo'ness and Carriden which were in West Lothian. While of particular
value to people whose forebears come from these two parishes and
from the villages and burghs of Stirlingshire, Clackmannanshire
and West Perthshire.

Dumfries
& Galloway Family History Society was founded in 1987
to encourage the study of family history, genealogy and the local
history of the South West of Scotland.

Fife
Family History Society. The purpose of the society is to join
together people with a common interest, the research of their
families of a bygone era, who lived and worked in The Kingdom
(County) of Fife, Scotland.

in 1977. We aim to promote the study of family history, particularly
in Glasgow and the west of Scotland, covering Argyll and Bute,

Kirk
family history spans three centuries and covers many areas
of Scotland. The Scottish ancestors were mainly employed as gamekeepers,
a tradition dating from at least the mid-1700's right through
various family groups into the early 1900's.

Family History Society.
The
Largs
and North Ayrshire Family History Society was formed in 1988
to promote the study of family history in Largs and in the surrounding
parts of North Ayrshire. North Ayrshire comprises the area of
Scotland corresponding to that of the former District of Cunningham
in Strathclyde region, together with the islands of Arran and
the two Cumbraes.

to promote the study of family history and genealogy throughout
the Tay Valley, which includes the former counties of Angus, Fife,
