Quintin

Quintin (m) Latin ‘fifth.’ The i-spelling seems to be usual
in Scotland, but Quentin, as in Scott’s Quentin Durward
(1823), is also found. Saint Quentin of Amiens became
patron saint of Kirkmahoe in Dumfriesshire. The name
was most used in Scotland, especially in Galloway, before
the seventeenth century.
