Myles

Myles (m) Myles rather than Miles is the usual Scottish
spelling of this name. It was apparently introduced as an
English substitute for the Gaelic Mael-Moire, ‘devotee of
the Virgin Mary.’ The name has never been especially
popular, though it is used in Skye by the Maclnneses.
