Lord
Balgarvie

It
is reported of him, that when King James V. did live at Falkland,
this gentleman did wait upon the king there, at a certain time,
with thirty of his sons, all begotten of his own body, who rode
on horses with him. The king was well pleased to see such handsome
and comely men, and said he would take care to employ them in
his service; but it was observed, that in a very few years thereafter,
they died all of them.
