Scotland is a country of great natural beauty and much of its attractiveness derives from the many delightful lochs and rivers to be found there. Each of the hundreds of freshwater inland lochs has its own special charm but no less delightful are the sea lochs, especially those along the west coast. Countless sparkling rivers, large and small, many of them feeding the lochs, thread their way through some of the finest scenery in the world and while some of them, at one stage or another, show signs of disfigurement at the hand of man, the great majority of them are still completely unspoiled and a feast for the eye at all seasons of the year.
