Harold

Harold (m) Gaelic Harailt. A Norse and Old English
name composed of elements meaning ‘army’ and ‘power,
rule.’ The name was frequently used in Britain at the
turn of the century, but it was out of fashion by 1935. In
that year it ranked 79th in Scotland, and it was clearly
declining fast.
