Gilchrist

Gilchrist (m) Gaelic Gille Criosd, ‘servant of Christ.’
A common personal name in Scotland in the Middle Ages,
still used by some Scottish families. It was formerly
‘translated’ as Christopher. In modern times Gille Criosd
is reduced to Crisdean.
