Fergus

Fergus (m) Gaelic Fearghas, ‘supreme choice.’ A Celtic
name which is now only in occasional use as a Christian
name. It is also found in Scottish surnames such as
Ferguson and Macferries. Some Fergusons claim descent
from Fergus, Prince of Galloway, who ruled in the twelfth
century.
