Dugald

Dugald
(m) The usual Scottish form of Gaelic Dughall,
though it also appears as Dougal, Dougall and Dugal.
The name was originally used by the Irish to describe
the ‘black strangers,’ i.e., the Danes. It is nowadays
thought of as a characteristically Scottish name.
