Cornelius (m) A name more associated with Ireland,
where it anglicises Conchobhar, ‘high will.’ It also occurs
as Connor. Cornelius was 91st most frequently used
name in Scotland in 1935. It is now rarely used. It
derives from a Roman clan name of obscure origins.
