Bryce (m) A common personal name in Scotland in the
twelfth and thirteenth centuries, leading to its use as a sur name (also as Brice). The name is found as early as the fifth century as Bricius (a Gaulish saint). Bryce is now occasionally used in Scotland as a Christian name.
