Boyd

Boyd
(m) Robert, grandson of Alan Fitz Flaald, was
nicknamed Buidhe, ‘yellow’ because of the colour of
his hair. He was the founder of the Scottish Boyds, though some
Boyds owe their name to an ancestor who came from Bute. The surname
is occasionally used as a Christian name in Scotland.
